The Forum is made up of 13 not-for-profit projects that work with their local authority to collect quality reusable furniture and household appliances throughout Cheshire and donate or sell it at low cost.

The projects:

  • support people on their own and families when they need it most, helping people to set up home or access furniture they can't afford.
  • help the environment by stopping lots of good quality furniture ending up on landfill sites.
  • provide training and volunteer opportunities which can help people find a job.
  • The projects are professionally organised with 32 paid and 242 voluntary staff. We provide training and work opportunities with 111 people receiving this support this year.

In 2007 - 8 the projects:

  • Re-used 681 tonnes of furniture, the equivalent of 30,950 single mattresses.
  • Helped 48,307 people.
  • The average wait for collection was 6.2 days.
  • The average wait for delivery was 3.9 days.

Could you help us?
If you want to donate good quality furniture or household goods which someone else could re-use, or help in any other way, please find the details of the project nearest you and contact them. Thanks!
